Yiyi Miao
Yiyi Miao is the Chief Product Officer of OPSWAT and is responsible for spearheading the organization’s strategic product direction from innovation through development – helping OPSWAT to be recognized as a market-leading OT/ICS cybersecurity solution provider by analyst firms such as Forrester, Westlands Advisory, and ARC Advisory Group.
Yiyi has experienced both professional and operational growth since joining OPSWAT in 2009 as a Software Engineer. During his early years, he was both hands-on developer and customer-facing support agent for the company’s first-ever flagship product – OESIS SDK and managed three other standalone products as a one-man team. At the beginning of 2012, he was promoted to manage a professional service engagement and initiated the predecessor product of what is now known as OPSWAT MetaAccess Platform to provide organizations with secure remote access with deep endpoint compliance and security capabilities.
From 2012 to 2016, he focused on building out the MetaAccess platform and expanded global engineering teams in San Francisco, Vietnam, Hungary and Romania. By 2018, he managed engineering teams around the globe while initiating the company’s product management functions. In 2019, Yiyi assisted the company in a major rebranding initiative and further built out his department with product marketing and product design functions. Before becoming Chief Product Officer and leading more than 250 product releases across software, hardware and cloud services in 2022, Yiyi served as Senior Vice President of Products where he was responsible for the overall product design, engineering, marketing, management and delivery processes – all of which he still currently leads.
Today, OPSWAT offers end-to-end critical infrastructure cybersecurity solutions, from industrial OT to enterprise IT security, with market-leading zero-trust technologies trusted by some of the world’s most secure environments. Yiyi has managed the strategic direction for each of these products – playing a critical role in OPSWAT’s growth and success over the last decade.
